Hello my name is Alex Copenhaver and I am currently a student at the University of Cincinnati DAAP where I am pursuing a Bachelor in Fine Arts Art Education with a Minor in Art history and then pursuing a Master in Art Education. With this degree, I would like to teach art at the secondary level. My artwork is greatly inspired from the uncanny, 70s and 80s horror, the Renaissance, but also slice of life and fantasy. I make work that makes you feel pure emotions.

With a focus on drawing, painting I have been widening my range of mediums and consider myself a multidisciplinary artist. I have worked with drawing, painting, ceramics, videography, photography, sound, light, color, sculpture, and digital sculpture, and plan on sharpening those skills while widening my range of other mediums and techniques. Other artistic branches I plan I exploring in the future include character design, and animation. I believe that everyone possesses a talent for art, no matter the skill level anyone can find the joy of creating a piece that they are proud of!
